Abstract layered translucent panels in navy and amber rising like steps toward a soft horizon of light, connected by thin glowing lines.

Pre-orders for Atheron Trading are coming. When they open, you will want to know what you are signing up for and what you can do before launch. This article covers both, and it sticks to what we can say today.

The short version: the pre-order page is the single place that says what is open. Until launch, the bot trades with paper money only. And you can prepare now, without spending anything.

The pre-order page is the source of truth

We will not list pre-order details in a blog post that may be out of date by the time you read it. The pre-order page on our site says what is open at any given moment. If something is not on that page, it is not open yet.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. Check the page itself for the current details before you decide.

What stays the same until launch

A pre-order does not change how the bot behaves before launch. Until launch, Atheron Trading trades with paper money only. That means pretend money at real market prices. No real funds move.

This is useful, not a limitation. Paper trading lets you see how the bot makes decisions with your rules in place, before any of your money is at stake. It also has limits. It cannot fully show the effect of real fills, slippage and fees, so treat paper results as a way to learn the bot, not as a forecast.

How the bot works, so you know what you are reserving

It helps to be clear on the basics before you pre-order.

  • Your exchange account, your money. The bot places trades in your own exchange account. Atheron never holds your money. This is what non-custodial means.
  • Trade, never withdraw. The bot connects through an API key that can trade but never withdraw. Even if something went wrong, the key cannot move funds out of your account.
  • Two AIs must agree. ATON Kestrel, our own AI model, runs the bot. One AI reads charts, meaning price and volume. The other reads news and social posts for sentiment. A trade only happens when both agree.
  • Your rules come first. Your budget, stop-loss and coin list are checked before every trade.
  • Every trade is explained. You can see why each trade was made.

How to prepare now

You do not need to wait for launch to get ready. These steps cost nothing and make the first day smoother.

  1. Pick your exchange. The bot trades in your own account, so you need one. Compare the options available to you in Canada and read each fee schedule.
  2. Learn how API keys work on that exchange. Find where keys are created and where the withdrawal permission is set. You will want trading on and withdrawals off.
  3. Decide your budget. Choose an amount you can afford to lose. Write it down before you look at any charts.
  4. Set your stop-loss. Decide how far a trade can move against you before it closes. This is the rule that limits each loss.
  5. Choose your coin list. A shorter list is easier to follow and easier to understand when you read the trade explanations.
  6. Plan your paper period. Give yourself time to watch the bot trade with paper money and read its explanations before you consider real funds.

A plain word on risk

Crypto trading carries real risk. Prices can move fast, and you can lose money, including money you did not expect to lose. A bot does not remove that risk. Two AIs agreeing, rules checked before every trade and a stop-loss all help you stay in control, but none of them guarantee a result.

We do not publish performance figures, promise returns or predict prices. If anyone tells you a trading bot is certain to make money, be careful.

Start with paper money, read the explanations, and only move to real funds when you understand what the bot is doing and why.

What to do next

Keep an eye on the pre-order page for what is open. In the meantime, choose your exchange, decide your rules and get familiar with how paper trading works. When pre-orders open, you will already know what you want from the bot and how you want it to behave.
