Talon lock simulator

The Talon is the exit every Kestrel trade uses. Draw any price path you like and watch exactly where it arms, what it locks and where it lets go. It runs a copy of the live Talon's own code with today's rule, on a 250 USD paper position, starting at the fill and moving one price a minute. This is an illustration of the published rule on paper: not a trade, not a forecast and not advice. Real fills can land past a level when the price jumps, and the engine rounds every level to the exchange's price step.

Draw a path

Push it up, pull it down, try to break it.

The Talon simulator with an example price path drawn on it: locks stepping up under the price, a safety stop following them, and the trade closing on paper when the price falls under the last lock
Side

Drag across the chart to draw the price, or drag any point. With a keyboard: Tab to a point, arrow up and down to move it (Shift for bigger steps), arrow left and right to go to the next point.

Closed at +1.24%: the price reached the safety stop. Paper result after costs: +1.04%.

After the close, the rest of the path is drawn faint: the trade is out.

The rule it follows

Four lines, on every Kestrel trade today.

  1. It arms once the price covers one and a half times the round trip costs: the fees on both sides, slippage and funding.
  2. From there it keeps a share of the best gain after costs, half at first and 65% from the second rung, moved up in steps of 0.5% of the entry price.
  3. On top, it locks money as the open gain grows: a fixed amount just under each step, on a 250 USD paper position here. No lock sits closer than that coin's normal minute to minute noise, and none ever loosens.
  4. The trade closes when the price falls back to the highest level locked so far, or reaches the stop.
