Hover, the entry on trial
A patient entry, tested in its own lane.
Hover is a patient entry rule Kestrel tests on paper in its own lane: it fills only once the price shows a direction, and stands down within the hour if not.
In detail
Hover, the entry on trial, step by step.
How it waits
On a call that passes the gate, it arms the entry and waits until the price moves 0.10% the call's way, or the trend is clearly with it. Then it fills and the Talon takes over. If the price moves 0.10% the other way first, it can take the trade that way instead. If the stop is reached, the call is withdrawn or an hour passes, it stands down and nothing was spent.
Why it is on trial
Today the main book enters at once, when the price is within 0.1% of the call's entry. Hover asks whether making the market show its hand first does better after costs. Its lane keeps its own record to answer that.
Its challenger
Reflex is a second entry lane, trained on entries simulated from past market data. Its own backtest lost 8.6 basis points a call against Hover's 4.1, so it stays in testing, on paper, beside Hover.
